Hi Joy Missed you there on Saturday when I went from the Somerton Road car park to the sugar gum plantation from c.1330-1530. It was very hot and three birds in the grassland were probably young Richards Pipits (not on the Birding-Aus lists for the park). In the Sugar Gums I added to the lists, Satin Flycatcher (male feeding ?immature male) to the list [records subsequently withdrawn] and, just beyond, Jacky Winter and White-browed Woodswallow. young bird. There was also a Hare in the woodland and a Jacky Lizard in the woodswallow's tree. Adult birds with young included Eastern Rosella, Dusky Woodswallow (at least 3 families), Tree Martin, Willie Wagtail and White-plumed Honeyeater. Michael Norris Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
