Hello all, I'm back on line for now, so a few more details on the location
of the Yellow Wagtail seen on Monday morning at Bakers Lagoon Richmond. To
access this lagoon which is on a number of private properties look for the
channel that runs in a N/E direction from the lagoon and under the road.
Where the outlet channel meets the road there is a gate. Park all cars on
the road side and walk through the gate keeping the channel on your left,
dont stray into the field.Follow the channel until you reach a blue drum on
your left carry on past the drum where you will find a break in the reeds
that surround the lagoon allowing you to gain access to the bed pof the
lagoon. The bird was on the opposite side of the lagoon feeding on the
vertical clay bank that runs the full length of the lagoon. It has a gray
rear end and head with a clean obvious super with a yellow throat and upper
breast.
Other birds of note there were the Ruff which as moved from Fernleighs, a
Bar -tailed Godwit 2 Black-tailed Native Hens lots of
Marsh, and STSP.
pLEASE LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE SEES THE WAGTAIL.
keith the Hawkesbury 55 km N/Wof Sydney.
