Inland dotterel RFI

Does anyone know of the closest likely spot for Inland dotterel ?(from
Melbourne) -   I have heard of the Hay plains (but not sure of their exact
whereabouts). I would be coming up from Melbourne, so the closer to
Deniliquin the better, also on the look out for recent sightings of crimson
/orange chats and black honeyeaters.
