Hi all,
Back on line after a five week trip to Cape York, Iron Range and western
Queensland. 414 species, with 15 lifers, so a very successful trip all up. A
report will appear in the next weeks.
However, I have questions on a few species that we tracked down, so I was
wondering if anyone has any details on the following records:
Spotted Whistling-duck - Jardine River crossing, Cape York
Blue-faced Parrot-finch - Paluma area
Ruff - Giru (south of Townsville) - this may still be about if anyone wants
details.
I am also being lazy and wondering if anyone knows if the Isabelline
Wheatear is still present (yes we did manage to be in the right place at the
right time) and also whether anyone knows if there is an on-line species
list for Carnarvon National Park (or Carnarvon Gorge specifically). We saw a
few things there that seemed to be outside or on the edge of ranges.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Peter
