Many hundreds of Fork-tailed Swifts were feeding low over Abberton
this-afternoon (Saturday). Over a period of an hour or so, they drifted away
to the west.
In an amazing few minutes when they first appeared, we had a Spotted
Harrier, Wedge-tailed Eagle, Peregrine Falcon, Black-shouldered Kite and
Nankeen Kestrel all in the air at the same time as the first of the swifts.
Not by any means in the binoculars together! But all up there at the same
time in the 360 degree view!
