Hi,
One or two observers are needed to go aboard a ship
operating in the Otway basin over Xmas, New Year and a little time (perhaps two
weeks) thereafter. Sorry to clutter birding-aus with this request but I figure
it will be of considerable interest to some.
The work will be in the continental slope region.
It will concentrate on cetaceans but I am thinking that the seabirds are likely
to be pretty interesting for anyone on this forum as well - perhaps a good
chance of getting Light Mantled Sooty Albatross on your list!
A knowledge of identifying Blue Whales and other
cetaceans will be particularly useful.
