Hi There,
I have to disagreed. If the birder know how to use it he or she could
imitate various songs, from a variety of birds, chick, hawk, myna, HE, etc.
Wrens are birds that always answer it as well all thornbills and warblers.
With practice you can attract any bird (I do) but it takes practice just
like imitate songs with the mouth or play the violin (it is an art!).
I use it a few times with Oriental Magpie-robins in Asia, I never bee
attacked, however I know that it is a very aggressive bird.
Kind Regards
Alex

G'day all
I'd recommend against using bird squeakers with Oriental Magpie-robins.
They
respond by launching an attack on the person with the squeaker. Otherwise
I
reckon they are designed for North American warblers because most of the
Australian little brown birds don't respond often.
Cheers
Steve
