That was a nice comment! To repay the compliment and briefly answer your
question regarding the reasons "for that particular ID" I have listed a few
bullet points below and included a new photo that could make for an
interesting caption!

After close views it is fairly easy to establish that it is a wheatear, but
which one? all but Northern Wheatear are quickly eliminated. The bird is
very like a Northern Wheatear, but differs by:
its somewhat bigger size
upright stance
broader black subterminal tail band
paler wings with strong sandy buff tones
lack of dark brown primaries
supercilium whitest before the eye, buff and narrow behind
long tarsus
lack of greyish tones to back
pale underwings
and habitat preference
