Road-injured Great-crested Grebe

I once found a dead Black Duck on the road just over a rail line in Taringa,
a suburb of Brisbane (near the university and a long way from water). My
guess is that it was flying along the rail line and gained enough height to
just clear the Bridge but not to deal with a truck or something.
