Two years ago we had some ducks show up in our yard next thing i know i come home to twelve ducklings that are stuck in our neibours pool. The parents had scarpered we kept them in a 6' fish tank with a lamp and only lost two of them.I rang everywhere the zoo the Healsville Sanctury wern't interested. We ended up releasing them at Braeside park Now i live about 3 or 4 blocks from Braeside park. But this year there's ducks in my yard on my roof everywhere,And they aren't scared of anything.I have a flat tin roof and you know a duck can't tippy toe around at five in the morning they sort of land with a bang.
The other bird i noticed is spur winged plovers nesting on front lawns of factorys.Cars dont seem to worry them at all
This drought must be having a big efect inland or birds just adapt verry quickly.
