I've seen a Pacific Gull off Sandringham (VIC) headland closely follow the every move of a remote control glider for at least 15 mins. It tailed its every move from just above the rear of the plane. The operator of the plane thought better of entertaining the gull after the gull attempted to land on top of it. It was amazing to watch while it lasted.
