The Royal Botanic gardens, Cranbourne, are off the South Gippsland
highway a few kilometers beyond Cranbourne. On the southern side there
are 3 lakes known as the Wylies Creek wetlands. I saw the Little Bittern
at the western end of the middle lake near the big artificial rocks. It
flew over the wooden bridge into the pond to the west and I didn't see
it again.
