A colleague here at Flinders University was walking in the Sturt Gorge in the southern suburbs of Adelaide on the weekend. As she approached a huge river Redgum, a veritable apartment block for various birds, she noticed a very agitated Sulphur-crested Cockatoo on one of the branches, flapping his wings and calling very loudly. Suddenly he vitually dive bombed into a hollow in the truck, then reappeared with a duck (I guess it was a Wood Duck) in his claws, carried it over to the river and unceremoniously dropped it in! She said you really had to be there to appreciate how comical it was - not for the duck though.

Cheers
Chris
