The Rescue of the Gould's Petrel - A Presentation by Dr David Priddel
Wednesday 13 November 2002, 7pm
Maiden Theatre, Royal Botanical Gardens, Sydney

The rescue of the Gould's Petrel from extinction received accolades from
around the Globe and stands out as one of the world's premier examples of
the successful conservation of an endangered species. Thanks to the efforts
of the scientists and 100 volunteers the Gould's Petrel is the first
Australian bird to be downgraded from Endangered to Vulnerable.  The
presentation by NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service scientist Dr David
Priddel describes how community effort and support combined with sound
science can save our species from extinction. 

Come and celebrate an encouraging success. "The Rescue of the Gould's
Petrel" benefits the Foundation's Threatened Species Appeal 2002.  To join
