Greetings,

Yesterday, I saw a Noisy Pitta in a patch of rainforest along the ring track below Mt. Kiera. The bird flushed from an area of deep leaf litter and perched on a branch of a nearby tree. After a minute or so, it dropped back to the ground and eventually hopped out of sight.
