This non- holiday morning here in Brisbane I awoke at around 5.00am  to the wonderful sounds of birdsong.  No one-eyed stuff  as our bed/window set-up is all wrong.  But I heard:
Kookaburra
Crested Pigeon (nesting outside the wrongly positioned window)
Spotted Turtle-Dove
Koel (in the distance)
Noisy Miner
Grey Butcherbird
Rainbow Lorikeet
Scaly-breasted Lorikeet
Pale-headed Rosella (hanging around my nest box - would be a nice change from bees and Common Mynas)
Sulphur-crested Cockatoo
Galah
Channel-billed Cuckoo
Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike
Magpie-lark
Masked Lapwing
Willie Wagtail
Figbird
Olive-backed Oriole
Dollarbird
Striated Pardalote
Welcome Swallow
Sacred Kingfisher (finally back)

I then got up and went for the morning walk with the dog to check them all out visually plus quite a few more.

Cheers
