Talking to a resident of Gloria St. where the quail were seen. They were worried about a suspicious looking character who alighted out of a 4 wheel drive and then stood out the front of their house at 5am. They said it was just as well a NON suspicious looking character came and joined him! Even better when they noticed a lady arrive. Anyway, several residents of Gloria St. have seen these 3 quail for 5 or 6 weeks. They arrived about the same time we headed off to Ballarat and Pt. Albert. They have queried locals and they are dfinitely not escapees from the immediate vicinity. Cheers ...
