I once managed to see eight kingfishers in a day on Cape York. In a days
bird guiding we saw both kookaburras, Collared, Sacred, Forest, Azure,
Yellow-billed and Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfishers. We did a mangrove
trip this day that did sometimes yield Little Kingfishers, but not on that
occasion so nine would have been quite achievable (actually, one of the
hardest of the nine to find normally was the Laughing Kookaburra). I wonder
if a little further south on the Cape the tenth, Red-backed Kingfisher,
might be possible in the one day?

Other than that I have nothing remarkable to report, I wonder how many
different honeyeaters people may have managed to find in one day??
