Dear Colin,
Dark nights are better, most critters are a bit
scared when the moon is shining.
Sugar Gliders, look for flowering trees, eucalypts
and banksias during the day, and return to them at
night! (A little bit of orange or yellow tape helps,
or a bit of aluminium foil on the trunk!)
Also good to look for suitable holllow trees in the
daylight, especially hollows with evidence of activity
around the opening, marks on the bark, etc. Look for
owl pellets beneath hollow trees, then return to the
same tree at night!
Good luck! Chris Chandler (French Island)
