Hi all
I may be going back to eastern PNG in November/December to finish
training indigenous people in birdwatching tourism, and my contacts may
be happy to have some birders to practice on if you could fit in with our
timing. I've also been asked by my birdwatching class (I run a course at
Casuarina Night School) to take them to eastern PNG but that won't be
till late next year at the earliest.

I found the town of Alatou safe, the people open and friendly, and the
lowland and lower montane forest relatively benign and accessible.

I do have a bird list for the area - it's incomplete and I've to send it
to my clients before I pass it on. However it does include nice birds
like Rufous-bellied Kingfisher and King Bird of Paradise.
