Greetings all,

I'm in Melbourne for a few days visiting from Adelaide and had a short walk
around Ruffy Park Lake yesterday morning (Saturday, 17th August 2002) and was
pleased to see seven species of parrot/cockatoos
Rainbow, Little and Musk Lorikeets, Red-rumped Parrots, Eastern Rosellas,
Galahs and most pleasantly at least 16 Gang-gang Cockatoos in the eucalypts
lining the creek.

Also saw Little Lorikeets in the Melbourne Botanic Gardens, no Swift Parrots
however. Little Lorikeet's a bird I've not seen very often so excuse my
enthusiasm.

We're off this morning to drive back to Adelaide via the Great Ocean Road.

All the best

Philip Griffin
