What Bird is That 1966 Pg 127

Spotted Pardalote
Pard-al-o-tus Gk, pardalotus, spotted
punc-ta-tus L, punctatus, spotted

Apart from where the name is derived it is quite amazing that the Striated
Pardalote black-headed form gives a distinct high and loud call of 3
syllables that can be construed as "par-da-lote".
