The next VicGroup Meeting will take place on
Thursday 8th August at 8:00pm.
NOTE: Due to a prior commitment at
our usual venue, this meeting will be held at Birds Australia's Head Office at
415 Riversdale Road, Hawthorn East.
We
have two guest speakers for this meeting, Sarah Holland and Walter
Harwood. Sarah will speak about the spread of Willow trees throughout
Southern Australia and the impact they have on bird assemblages. Walter's
talk will cover the effects of peninsulas and edges on avian assemblages in
medium sized fragments of box-ironbark forest.
Although the main meeting starts at 8:00 PM, it
will be preceded by a meeting of the VicGroup Conservation Committee at 6:30
PM. Anyone interested in attending the earlier meeting as well as the main
one is very welcome to do so.
