As reported by Phil Hansbro, the male Northern Shoveller was still there at 5.30pm on Tuesday 30/702. The white breast stood out like a beacon particularly in the fading light. It was roosting at the far end of the pond but obliged by swimming a short distance.

It was a hard earned tick for all present(John, Grev and Margaret Reidy and Allan and Robin Benson). A few kms had been put in to Grafton, South West Rocks and Werribee by various members of this group chasing this elusive bird.

On past experience the bird never stays put for long, so makes plans sooner than later.
