For Jack K and the archives.
The Goschen Bushland Reserve appears to be at Goschen which is due west of Lake
Boga on the road to Ultima in north west Victoria.
It can be seen on the 1: 100 000 Natmap mapsheet titled Nyah 7527 and although
not named it is at approximately AMG 7527 - 236714. The old Land Conservation
Council report 'Mallee Area Review, Final Recommendations (1989) shows there to
be two small Bushland Reserves (I289 and I290) immediately south of Goschen
locality. LCC reports should be available in larger libraries. These reports
show all the public land and its status. They can be quite useful when
organising birding and other trips around Victoria.
The River Murray Reserve particularly some of the larger blocks eg. between the
Little Murray and Murray Rivers, Pental Island may be worth a visit. Most of
the larger flora and fauna reserves and bushland reserves are to the west and
south of Swan Hill. Parks Victoria has further details on te Murray River
Reserve at the following address:
http://www.parkweb.vic.gov.au/1park_display.cfm?park=242
And their is plenty of useful environment information, including the BOCA Echuca
Branch calendar, at the following site:

Regarding Peter Dishers great little book (Birds of the Barham District). This
is available from the Bird Obsevers Club bookshop in Nunawading (Melbourne, 039
877 5342).
