Sorry for the lateness of reporting this observation: At about 4pm on 17 June, I observed a lone Cape Barren Goose at a small wetland on private land along Coleman's Road, Lyndhurst approximately 30 km south-east of Melbourne. It was not there earlier in the day and was not seen during the rest of the week. Other species seen at the wetland included Black-winged Stilts, a Yellow-billed Spoonbill and large numbers of Australian White Ibis.
