Just as the Swift Parrots are still in the same areas of the Central Coast,
they are still at Ward Park on the Gold Coast. The numbers are smaller than
before but they have been at the park since 21st May.

When we first heard of the numbers down the NSW coast, we thought that they
would probably continue up the coast and we would have an invasion up here,
but it was not to be. With the exception of a Swift Parrot call that I
heard when the traffic noise stopped for a moment in the middle of Tweed
Heads (South Tweed actually), they have only been found in Ward Park.

They are continuing to roost in the same tree in Kuranga Ave but are feeding
higher up in the eucalypts in the park rather than low down in the
melaleucas.
