2. THREATENED SPECIES CONSULTATION REGISTER

Environment Australia has established a register of individuals or organisations to be consulted on applications for permits to undertake actions that may impact on listed species, as specified under Section 266A of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999. Those listed on the register will be advised of each application for a permit to undertake an action that may impact on a threatened species. Those individuals or organisations on the current register must
re-apply to be included for the new register.

The registration period is from September 1 2002 until August 30, 2003.
