I have not observed Horsfield's Bronze Cuckos feeding on the ground but I recently took a photo of a Grey Shrike-Thrush feeding on mown grass and running around like a Pipit. There were two birds carrying on like this and Bill Stent and I watched them for several minutes. This was at Kamaran (?) Lookout on the road to O'Reily's in SE Qld.
