Greetings from Cape Town, We have received a number of responses to the mystery storm petrel posted to the "mystery birds page" on our website at www.zestforbirds.co.za but there does not seem to be any strong majority vote yet. So far, there is a fairly even divide between votes for Black-bellied Storm Petrel and White-bellied Storm Petrel, and, interestingly enough, there are even a few suggestions for a Black-bellied x White-bellied Storm Petrel hybrid. Please have a look at the photos and send us your opinion on them with your reasons for saying so as well. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks and regards Trevor --------------------------------------------------------- Trevor Hardaker and John Graham Cape Town, South Africa ZEST for BIRDS Website: http://www.zestforbirds.co.za Email: --------------------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
