G'day All,
With Wetlands and wetland projects being very topical
at present I thought many of you might be interested
in this release from Lawninfo.
Kind Regards,

I wonder why Mum and Dad made me so tall? it's hard to
dodge the rotor blades on these helicopters that
search for the Humpback pod of five looking for their
own maternity ward, that's what councillors call it
ain't it? ~:^D>>>

A NSW State Groundwater-Dependent Ecosystems Policy
has been released as part of the NSW State Groundwater
Policy Framework Document which was released in 1997
to protect groundwater systems from overextraction or
contamination, and is implemented under the Water
Management Act 2000. The overall policy is overseen by
a State Groundwater Working Group with government and
non-government representatives, and at the local level
several groundwater management committees and water
management committees have been established.
The new Policy sets out a process by which water
management plans will operate at a local level to
identify and classify groundwater-dependent
ecosystems and ensure that water is provided to meet
environmental needs and users needs. The policy can be
