You will be spending a fair bit of time driving your campervan by the looks of
your itinerary - upwards of 10,000 km by the looks of it.
What time of year are you passing through?
Tawny frogmouths are widespread and common in many cities. Bush thick knees can
easily be seen in places like the Cairns cemetary and the Moreton Bay islands.
They are also in Brisbane in places like the Uni of Qld.
Noisy pittas, log runners, satin bowerbirds and green catbirds are pretty common
in most rainforests in south east Queensland. Regent bowerbirds and paradise
riflebirds are also around but less evident. There are quite a few albert's
lyrebirds in the area, but they are more often heard than seen [and generally
fleetingly as they run away].
