The final counts have been received from the 32
observers who searched 35 sites on the Central Coast 24-28 May 2002 and there
have been some good figures for Swift Parrots and some Regent Honeyeaters were
found.

Note that the Bateau Bay and Budgewoi birds were
readily seen today and that an injured Swift Parrot was found on Scenic
Drive Budgewoi and taken into care by WIRES.

Note that at least 4+ Regents were seen at Wyee
Point today (29/5).
Many members of the Central Coast Group, Birding
NSW who did not see the Swift Parrots on their survey sites have had good views
of the real thing (for many their first ever sightings) at 3 Murray St Bateau
Bay and have been to see the Regents at Wyee Point in the past 5
days!
