PROACT PARTNERS TAKE DIRECT ACTION PART IV (CYPRUS)

A final summary report has been received from the Italian LAC team on
their return from Cyprus:

"Dear David, 

Sorry for the delay in sending this report.
Our group came back from Cyprus last Sunday, here is the total amount of
traps and birds recorded:

Lime sticks - 1581      
Nets - 3     
Birds alive  - 103       
Dead birds - 10

All the birds alive were cleaned and released at once.

14 species were affected :

Birds:
Blackcap, - 49
Lesser Whitethroat -  8
Whitethroat - 1
Orphean Warbler - 1
Icterine Warbler -  4
Wood Warbler - 6
Willow Warbler - 4
Sedge Warbler - 2
Spotted Flycatcher - 14
Pied Flycatcher - 7
Collared Flycatcher -  2
Nightingale - 1
House Sparrow - 3

Reptiles:
Agama, no. 1

We have good pictures of everything; these will follow (I will publish
online D.C.)
