18 there this morning 7.30, the spot at the end of Waratah Cr.
Feeding in the foliage (?lerps) of the big yellow box with the chunk out
of the bark at the base, just on the right of the track heading down the
slope; in smaller eucalypts both sides of creek near the tree trunk
across the track with the middle section removed; in small eucalypt just
to left of track at entrance to reserve from paved road; in moth eaten
eucalypts on south edge of the pond.
There will be good views when the clouds clear.
Nice pic in yesterday's The Age.
If you were thinking of trekking down to Oakleigh with a cut lunch, I am
going to ask my cousin-in-law (Hyundai) to bring his hot-dog and
catburger cart along to the Blackburn site - special discount for
birdos.
