Just another small piece in the jigsaw puzzle.
We have been getting parties of 30 to 50 Yellow-faced Honeyeaters passing
through the garden over the last couple of days.
In all instances, they appear from the east, ie from the general direction
of the coast (we're about 120 km inland) and make their way in an upstream
direction through the trees fringing Lockyer Creek, ie towards the forested
escarpment (about 20 km to the west).
Not obviously an altitudinal movement from the nearby ranges, apparently the
reverse.
Is this perhaps part of an inland dispersal of Yellow-faced Honeyeaters that
have come north to Queensland along the coastal route?
