Hi all,
Up at Gluepot doing some Black-eared Miner work for the next few days. This
morning (Tuesday 9th April) five Scarlet-chested Parrots came into drink at
Quinns Dam (the more southerly of the two house dams) near Gluepot
Homestead. They were first sighted at about 6:55 and we left them feeding on
some low shrbs near the dam at about 7:30. The flock comprised one adult
male, one immature male (just getting some colour on the chest) and three
green birds. Given the forecast is for two or three more days of 30+ degrees
up here I expect they will be on show for at least this period.
Now if somebody could just nail the Laughing Gull on Bribie Is. down till
next week for me that would be most appreciated....
All the best
Rohan
