Hi All,
A message on a more serious note, I'm not sure if you are aware but
logging has re-commenced in one of the most pristine rainforest areas in
southern Malaysia, the Panti Forest. News of this can be seen on the
WildbirdSingapore Mailing-list (on
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wildbirdSingapore/ ) message #1597
Having visited the area in 1992 with some prominent Singaporean birders
I was amazed at the avifauna of the area, and saw many bird species that
I haven't encountered since. As there are very few areas left with this
level of biodiversity I implore anyone to help stop this senseless
destruction.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards,
Tom
