Thanks to Gavin for the am gull update. The Laughing Gull was present off Buckley's Hole for just about all of the morning until midday when I left the area. Seen by a good number of visitors (the gull, that is). At 12.30 I arrived at Scoopy's (bacon burgers always hit the spot) and immediately saw the bird flying past, going south. There were several birders still in the area so would guess there will have been later sightings. Just thought it best to get something on the table for prospective Sunday visitors. In answer to the question "Does it laugh without reason or do you have to say something funny first?" "Yes". Cheers - Trevor Ford.
