Although I failed to see the Laughing Gull today in a brief visit to Bribie Island around 11 am (partially compensated by an excellent bacon sandwich at Scoopy's) it was seen a couple of hours later. Certainly, it was seen by one observer at 1.30 pm and by another from between 1.45 pm and 2.10 pm., suggesting that it was around for at least 40 minutes (again at Bongaree). No real pattern seems to have emerged other than you need a bit of luck and/or perseverance to make contact with it. At least it's still around! Has anyone replied (without copying me) as to whether this is the sixth record of Laughing Gull in Australia? Cheers - Trevor Ford.
