Hi all, It's a glorious day in Katoomba and throughout the morning I have been watching large numbers of needletails surfing the air currents low overhead. Then, up from the gully below, a Little Eagle appeared - while not as exciting as the Square-tailed Kite which flew over a couple of weeks ago, nevertheless a very nice bird to see at close range from the home office window. It circled higher and higher until it was just a speck, then disappeared to the north-east, the same way the STK went. This time of year always brings surprises.
