Hi Russell - well, you were right! It turned up at about 3.10 pm this
afternoon, hung around in front of the hide with a flock of Sharpies for
about 10 minutes and was gone again after being appreciated by a small
crowd, including some very relieved birding-aussers.
Yesterday and today were our first visits to the Edithvale-Seaford
wetlands - what a great spot! Spotted, Spotless and Baillons Crakes,
Latham's Snipe and even a Magpie Goose. A Peregrine was very helpful today
in moving the waders around the wetland.
