 To put this in context with the huge fuel loads following two good seasons
 fire is inevitable in this region.  I made three trips into the NT part of
 the desert Sept to November, and it was obvious that it would only need a
 lightning strike to ignite the rapidly drying vegetation.

 Fire  must be seen as part of the natural cycle in the region, along with
 severe droughts and boom seasons, and the species there have adapted to
cope
