Hi Michael,

Why not take a look at the Birds-Pix mailing-list (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/birds-pix/)? (subscribe then modify your subscription to only read email on the web....saves having to download large email files) There are no end of 'digi-scoped' bird images from around the world and lots of information on equipment etc.

I personally use a Nikon Coolpix 990 with (my wife's Leica APO televid 'scope) and get reasonable images. The Coolpix 990 has been superceded by the 995 but as it has 4 mega-pixels (as opposed to 3.3 for the 990) for the same price I would imagine that it is even better!

I still wouldn't mind having a go with the new Nikon D1x digital camera though.........

Tom
