You have to be joking right, I guess you also would like it to cost under a
grand.

Good high resolution Digital's cost money and a lot of it. Add one that can
maybe attach to a telescope and your looking into the high thousands.

But just a good compact such as Canon's G2 is still $2000. How much were you
looking at spending.

Digital is like a computer, every 6 months a new one comes out

Hullo camera people,
                                Could one of you advise on a high-resolution
digital camera that can be held up to a telescope and produce good pictures.
Alternatively one which can be used with an adaptor on the scope. Ideally
something fairly compact with largish storage capacity and unlikely to be
superceded for a year or two.
