Dashed out to Gluepot today, mainly to connect up the computer network and
do some maintenance on the system, and managed to put in a few hrs of
birding in the morning.
Nothing special, many yellow-plumed brown-headed and spiny-cheeked
honeyeaters around flowering mallees, as well as pardalotes and hooded
robins. 1 elegant parrot and 1 chestnut quail-thrush. In the last few days
Major Mitchells and Orange chats have been recorded.
Understorey continues to regenerate amazingly, wet september thru november
have helped, and only 1 hot day this season (41*C two days ago) in
comparison to endless days of over 40 last year.
Cheers
