Hi all,

It is a long while since I visited the boardwalk at Warriewood Wetlands on
Sydney's Northern Beaches (mid November), at that time I was all hyped up
about White-throated Gerygonies feeding young in the nest. On Friday
28Th.Dec. I revisited and saw an adult W-t G and two sub adult young (paler
and without the white throat). Looks like at least two chicks fledged.

Also seen were a Tawny Grassbird and a Nankeen Night Heron, this is only my
second Night Heron in 14 years for the Northern Beaches. T. Grassbirds are
not that common there either!

There were about 30 White-throated Needletails overflying. The day was
clear, sunny, still and cool. Mike, the grid is 33 41' 38" 151 17' 27"

Happy New Year and heaps of ticks(not the bity ones!) for you all in
2002.
