At 8:45 AM today 19th Dec. while watching a pair of Red Rumped Parrots
feeding on the ground, a male King Parrot suddenly swooped out of
nowhere, disturbing them, then flew off over the Eastern Freeway.  This
was in Koonung Creek Reserve, North Balwyn, Melways Map 32, Ref G11. 
Quite extraordinary!  Celia
