Has anyone confirmed the Paradise Shelduck seen by Barbara Burns at Phillip
Island. This could be a first mainland record or perhaps an escape. A lone
tame bird sitting on a beach after a week of gales makes for interesting
conjecture. There certainly are captive Paradise Shelducks in Australia but
then New Zealand has recorded several vagrant Australian Shelducks. Sounds
worth checking out.
