Not having any anti-virus software, I rely on a double barrelled
approach to not being affected. I don't run MS Internet readers, and I
don't open strange attachments.
The latter doesn't work with BT2 - there aren't any attachments when I
open the messages! Nor do I seem to be infected - see "barrel 1".
I am about to add a third barrel, specific to the latest nasty. We've
had it 5 times now, and every time it has been a 40 kb file. Set the
sort order for the INBOX to "size", and the 40 kb files will be at or
very close to one end, ready for the one finger salute (or the Roman
down-turned thumb!)
There is the other point that the message apparently replied to may be
quite old; this was enough for me to immediately think '??????????' as
later messages to the same address had been dealt with. And there was no
underscore at the head of the address - but there IS one in it.
